WHAT IS POLYTECHNIC ?
Polytechnics offer three year generalized diploma courses in subjects such as civil, electrical and mechanical engineering it also include include electronics, computer science, medical lab technology, hospital engineering, etc. Women’s Polytechnics offer courses in garment technology, beauty culture, textile design, library science, etc. There are 1292 polytechnics under the Ministry of Human Resource Development offering three year diploma courses in various branches of engineering. In addition there are 415 institutions for diploma in pharmacy, 63 for hotel management, and 25 for architecture. The proportion of polytechnics is high in the southern states (46%). Over the years, the diploma courses have lost the skill components because of diluted version of degree education. AICTE has permitted evening shifts in the engineering colleges and polytechnics, subject to court directions in new states. Laboratory practices are performed as per requirements in specific subjects. Many of the polytechnics have acquired plenty of audio visual hardware through special schemes of the central government. The system is mainly managed by the state agencies as per the state policies. Central intervention was initiated, particularly for quality improvement in polytechnics, whenever such a need arose.

CET Delhi 2021 Application Form

Candidates will be able to fill the CET Delhi application form 2021 via online mode from 25th March 2021.
Candidates can apply only for one test from the given options.
CET Delhi registration process has been divided into three steps, i.e. fill registration form, upload images and fee payment.
Students are required to upload the scanned images of photograph, signature and left thumb impression.
Application Fee:
  •  The application fee will be Rs. 400/-.
  •  Bank charges and service tax will also be added.
  •  Fee payment will be done through online mode.
  •  Payment can also be done through the Challan of Corporation Bank.

Test-1 For candidates applying for Diploma Courses in Applied Art, Architectural Assistantship, Art for Drawing Teachers, Automobile Engineering, Cosmetology & Health, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering (Construction Technology), Civil Engg. (Public Health & Environmental Engineering), Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electronics Engineering (Digital Electronics), Electronics Engineering (Medical Electronics), Fashion Design, Garment Fabrication Technology, Information Technology Enabled Services & Management (ITES&M), Interior Design, Instrumentation & Control, Library & Information Science, Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engg. (Maintenance Engg.) , Medical Laboratory Technology, Polymer Technology, Printing Technology, Production Engineering, Textile Design, Tool & Die Making. The candidate should have passed 10th class or any other examination recognized as equivalent to 10th class examination, conducted by CBSE / other board with minimum 35% aggregate or 3.7 CGPA in Science, Mathematics & English The subjects Science, Mathematics and English are compulsory and the candidate should have passed in each of these three subjects.

Note: 1. Candidates passing /qualifying class 10th under the grading system should have obtained minimum pass grade in the compulsory subjects i.e., Science, Mathematics and English.
2. Any other criteria as prescribed by CBSE in new pattern.
Test-2 For candidates applying for Modern Office Practice (English) The candidate should have passed Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (Class XII) of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Delhi in any stream of 10+2 (Academic) or any other examination recognized as equivalent to the Senior Secondary School Certificate with minimum 35% marks in aggregate of the best three subjects including English. The subject English is compulsory for Modern Office Practice (English) and the candidate should have obtained pass marks in this subject.
Test-3 For candidates applying for Modern Office Practice (Hindi) The candidate should have passed Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (Class XII) of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Delhi in any stream of 10+2 (Academic) or any other examination recognized as equivalent to the Senior Secondary School Certificate with minimum 35% marks in aggregate of the best three subjects including Hindi/Sanskrit. The subject Hindi/Sanskrit is compulsory for Modern Office Practice (Hindi).
Test-4 For candidates applying for Pharmacy Passed 12th Std. examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the Mathematics / Biology (Botany and Zoology).
Test-5 For candidates applying for lateral entry (For Delhi region candidates only). Passed 12th Std examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the Mathematics / Biology ( Botany and Zoology) OR 12th Science (with Mathematics as one of the Subject) or 12th Science with Vocational OR 12th Science with Technical OR 10th + (2years ITI) with appropriate Trade in that order shall be eligible for admission to Second Year Diploma Course(s) of appropriate Programme. The ITI s/ ITCs must be from Institutes located only in Delhi and affiliated to DGE&T/BTE, Delhi.ITI student who had already appeared for his/her final exam has to submit their passed certificate / mark sheet on or before 30/11/2021 otherwise his / her provisional admission stands cancelled.

Test-2 Syllabus: Modern Office Practice English (12th based)
